Eucharistic Adoration
The Eucharist is displayed in a
monstrance, such as this one, during
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
Nocturnal Adoration:
Nocturnal Adoration is typically held once a month in Annunciation Church. We begin on the evening of the 4th Thursday of the month, continuing for 12 hours, into the morning of the next day. Please consider coming to spend a quiet reflective hour with the Lord.
Please contact Micky Spillane for more information or to sign up for a specific time band. Although a sign-up sheet is used to ensure that there is constant vigilent adoration throughout the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, any Catholic who wishes to spend reverent time in prayer with our Lord is welcome. No appointment is needed.
Nocturnal Adoration Society
- The Nocturnal Adoration Society has a threefold purpose:
-
- To provide a fervent response to Christ's invitation to keep prayerful vigil with him (Matthew 26:28-40, Mark 14:37-38, Luke 22:40-46).
- To deepen the experience of communion with Christ Eucharistic, as he continues his self-offering and saving influence.
- To live more consciously and actively the full significance of the Eucharist as the sacrament of charity and unity for the church and the world.
