Welcome to the Catholic community of Annunciation Roman Catholic Parish, Church and School.

We are a Roman Catholic Parish within the Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina with approximately 700 families. We have over 40 ministries, committees, groups, and organizations. Our campus includes Annunciation Catholic School, founded in 1954 with approximately 115 students in pre-K and grades K-8.

Students not attending Annunciation Catholic School attend faith formation classes on Sunday mornings during the school year. All high school aged youth are invited to participate in total youth ministry, which includes service, social activities, and faith building.

This is our Annunciation Catholic Parish Website. As you browse around, please take the time to send an e-mail message to our webmaster, especially if you have any suggestions or comments about content or format.

Message from our Pastor

Lord, teach us how to pray.” This is a request that we should all make seriously and often, but not necessarily to learn new prayers, or new ways to pray, or even new devotions to take up. Rather it should be to learn how to truly pray as Christians. Praying and reciting are two different things. In the first place, to pray means to raise our minds and hearts to God, to be in communion with God. This is a theme we have been hearing for several weeks now in the gospel of Luke: to love God with all our mind, heart and soul. Prayer is not something we do while texting, or watching TV or listening to the radio. In whatever type of prayer we use, it means concentrating our all on God during the whole time we spend on it. Today, Jesus teaches us how to turn to “Our Father” with absolute confidence, even when we find ourselves in situations that we cannot immediately understand. Jesus teaches us that instead of asking Him to make things turn out the way we wish, we should ask that things turn out for us the way that He wishes: “Thy will be done.” May it be so. Amen.

As you know, we have been praying for months, asking that God send us a new principal. I am pleased to announce that God has answered our prayers. Alleluia! We have a new principal! Her name is Mrs. Susan Parks. I am sure you will find her to be eager and enthusiastic in coming to Annunciation Catholic School. She has experience in our diocese as she comes from Cary, NC. She will begin sometime this week and you will hear more from her as we welcome her formally in the weeks to come. Thank you for all your prayers. Now I ask for your support.

God Bless, Fr. Greg
