This is to spread devotion to St Martha, the sister of Mary Magdelen, who is well known in Europe but seldom, heard of in this country. To be recited nine Tuesdays in succession and each Tuesday a candle should be lit and a copy of this prayer left in a pew in the church with the intention of spreading devotion to St Martha. The miraculous Saint obtains everything no matter how difficult before the termination of the ninth Tuesday.

St Martha, I resort to thy protection and aid. As proof of my affection and faith I offer this light which I shall burn every Tuesday. Comfort me in my difficulty and through lodging in the house of my Savior include for me and my family that we have God in our hearts and be provided for in regards to the favor I ask (Mention Favor Here). I ask you St. Martha, to overcome all difficulties as you did overcome the dragon you had at your feet.
